An amazing weekend and an incredible setting. From start to finish Hannah, the trainers and the team at the retreat were warm, welcoming and focussed in ensuring we had the best possible experience. The whole weekend was an opportunity to really focus on me; my physical and emotional well-being. I was able to challenge myself in a safe space with people who genuinely cared. Thank you to each and everyone of you. It’s an experience I will remember for a very long time and I hope to be able to join you again in the future.
It is a big step giving yourself time away from family and work commitments, especially with a bunch of strangers, however the team made the whole experience enjoyable and relaxing for everyone – I would definitely recommend it and Shirley and I have already decided it will be an annual thing.
The retreat brought me an escape from everyday noise. It challenged me to be more active but not in a pushy way. I met a diverse group of people who were all there for different reasons. We laughed and cried together and we bonded for life. I will remember my 4 days in Dartmoor forever.
Hannah and the team put on a fantastic retreat. The activities were different and accessible for all, I have learned new skills and made some lovely new friends! Would absolutely recommend it to a friend!
This was my first time doing something like this so I had no idea what to expect. It was initially a bit daunting going away with people I had not met or knew. However, the trainers, the owners of honey meadow and the location right away made everyone feel at ease. Honey meadow is an incredible place. The surroundings are stunning. Harriet and John are such wonderful people. The trainers on the retreat were fantastic at leading and working with everyone. This retreat reminded me that it is ok to take time and focus on what your mind and body needs. The people I met during this time were some of the most lovely people. Everyone was there for each other and had a kindness that was nice to see. There were so many laughs I’m sure it took my cheeks days to recover. I have come back with memories that bring a smile to my face, new friends and a joy inside that was much needed. Hopefully there are more retreats in the future.
I approached the retreat with caution – namely because of the word ‘retreat’. I had preconceived notions of what this would entail and didn’t feel I’d fit in, particularly as I didn’t know anyone. However, with encouragement that it would be a way for me to gently step out of my comfort zone and find some time for myself, however that was, I booked on. Suffice to say, that’s exactly what I experienced. I met an incredible group of people and found my place within the group. One of the best things for me was to allow myself that time out – and that was lying in bed and reading, whilst everyone else was off doing bootcamp, that was the time I needed but couldn’t cut off for myself at home. Whilst on the retreat, in spite of the fantastic experiences, I wasn’t aware of the impact. One of the final activities, writing a letter to myself, showed how much space it had allowed. The reflection I was capable of and the realisations I came to in writing that letter demonstrated the inner growth and thinking I’d been capable of – just by having some space for my own, without feeling I had to fit in with the itinerary. All of the trainers were genuinely lovely and caring. I never considered that I would have so much fun – it was a weekend where I laughed, grew in confidence and did things I never thought I’d experience or do. The final woodland meditation just ended the retreat perfectly – there was no way to keep the smile from my face. Thank you
