Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Introduction

 

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 10 August 2023 to 31 August 2024.

 

The statement sets down FitWorks Training Ltd commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our business activities and the steps we have put in place with the aim of ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our own business and supply chains. We all have a duty to be alert to risks, however small.  Staff are expected to report their concerns and management to act upon them. 

 

Organisational structure and supply chains

 

This statement covers the business activities of FitWorks Training Ltd which are as follows: 

 

Pippa Lance founded Fitworks Training back in 2012, Kicking off the outdoor bootcamps at Beaconsfield rugby club. Then in 2019 Hannah Camden came into the business. They had worked alongside each other for the previous 5 years, always sharing the same vision “to build a community of fun classes and social events for anyone and everyone to be able to enjoy”.

 

With their combined efforts, Pippa and Hannah have expanded the Fitworks Training Team who all share the same values in encouraging and helping their members to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle. Fitworks trainers are excellent motivators and mentors who genuinely care about your success and will provide the support and encouragement you need to stay committed to your fitness journey. Pushing you outside of your comfort zone while ensuring your safety and well-being throughout the training sessions.

 

The Company has now taken on new premises and incorporated to form a Limited Company.

 

The Company currently operates in the following countries:

  • United Kingdom.

Responsibility for the Company’s anti-slavery initiatives is as follows:

 

  1.   Policies and risk assessments: Lucy Robertson is responsible for creating and reviewing policies. The process by which policies are developed is looking at best practice and adapting to the needs of the Company.

 

Training

 

To ensure a good understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains, the Company requires all management to undertake online training.

 

Policies

 

The Company is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or our supply chains. This Statement affirms its intention to act ethically in our business relationships.

  • Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking

The Company undertakes due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, and regularly reviews its existing suppliers. The Company’s due diligence process includes. building long-standing relationships with suppliers and making clear our expectations of business partners.

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement will be regularly reviewed and updated as necessary. The  Management Team endorses this policy statement and is fully committed to its implementation.
